Summer’s comin’

Summer’s nearly here and there’s a lot of things going on in the region.

I can hardly believe how the days are flying by….

Is it summer yet? Officially summer starts June 21.

June 3: Heroes Highway Ride and Rally
The riders will be leaving from the National Airforce Museum of Canada at CFB Trenton around 11 am, heading to and along the west bound lanes of Hwy 401 to the Port Hope Memorial Park.

Many Veterans will be there. Hundreds of motorcycles and riders showing their appreciation for our Canadian Forces people. People will be on the overpass bridges of Hwy 401 in support of the ride and our CF people.

If you are interested, come out and support this cause either on the bridges or at the park. There will be various vendors to support the families of our Canadian Forces, including the Wounded Warriors’ Fund.

June 18: Fathers’ Day (Sunday)
My siblings and I are pleased that our father, of 92 years of age, is still with us. He is still able to share many words of wisdom, even though sometimes our mother insists he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Sometimes, somethings never change!?!

Happy Fathers Day DAD !!!

Both parents have now moved into their larger apartment and are slowly getting things reorganized.
