Lisa Robinson, candidate councillor in Ward 1, recognizes seniors have important issues which should be addressed.

Candidate Robinson specifically addresses issues relating to senior, their taxes and elimination of fees for use of community centres such as the Pickering Recreation Centre.

She hopes “to initiate and bring the tax deferral plan for seniors in all or in part and I would also like to make the community centre, fitness centre,  tennis courts, swimming pool,  etc., use of the facilities to be free for all seniors. I believe if seniors stay active now, they will have more mobility, be happier and healthier longer.”
