Christmas is still a time of need and giving

Fall’s nearly over, Remembrance Day, almost forgotten, but Bruno’s looking at the dropping temperatures and thinking about what is just around the corner…Christmas time!

He reminds us that lots of people need help and this is a much tougher time of the year for them. So Bruno is saying be generous when you can donate. Give from your heart as well as from your wallet.

Fall is here. Most leaves have fallen, the ground is wet and Halloween is over.

Remembrance Day is Sunday, November 11.

Poppies are being worn by almost everyone.

Many people will be able to attend ceremonies at locations of their choice since this day falls on a Sunday this year. Please remember those that served for our freedom and way of life. If you can, thank a Veteran.

If you are in a store and see the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle, please give to help them help someone in need this season.

Soon Christmas lights will be on creating a most colourful vision illuminating the dark nights even in snow falling moments.

The Christmas Spirit puts a smile on many faces. People are thinking of Christmas movies, Christmas presents, and Christmas dinners with all the trimmings. The smells and sounds all fill the air and tickle your senses.

Santa’s coming! I hear the bells. See the candy canes, smell the Christmas trees and even catch a glimpse of a reindeer or two. Ho, Ho, Ho.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!
