Mother’s Day celebrated mom’s 90th, Father’s Day will be a celebration of his 94th.
Mother’s Day was enjoyed a picked-up lunch from Swiss Chalet for Mom and Dad and my wife Darlene. It was an enjoyable visit, but Mom was quite tired so we left early. Reminded us again that she is going to be 90 soon (September). Says she’s getting old. And Dad is 94.
Just finished enjoying some time with my wife during the May 2-4 weekend. There was some nice warm sunshine, but also it was very windy. Then again, we did a lot of yard work around the house, which was very tiring. So much for the month of May.
June has arrived!
Heroes Highway Ride and Rally takes place June 1st. We assemble our motorcycles at the Trenton Canadian Airforce Base Museum. Then, we ride escorted to Hwy 401 westbound (Highway of Heroes) toward Port Hope park. Here the town of Port Hope opens their arms to the riders and veterans all day for celebration and support of the Canadian Forces and their families. A very moving experience.
Father’s Day is June 16
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there. We thank you and appreciate your shaping us children to be the people we are today.
Oshawa Fiesta
The Oshawa Fiesta parade also starts June 16 in downtown Oshawa. Check out the cultural festivities around Oshawa.
Summer will also arrive this month. Hopefully, warmer than spring has been so far.
