Ya can hear it in Bruno’s voice, “Summer is winding down.”
August 5 is a Civic Holiday in Ontario.
Caesarea will again be hosting the Caesarea Regatta all weekend. Events will include a Surf or Turf dinner Friday night at the marina. Saturday morning will have a children’s parade from the Fire Hall to Putsey Park. Followed by a dog contest and other games for the children. Sunday morning there will be a pancake breakfast at the Fire Hall with donations going to MS.
Darlene, and I will be visiting her brother and his wife at their trailer on Manitoulin Island for the weekend. Going fishing. Hope we get some good eating fish. It’s been a while since we have had a fish fry.
August 10, Oshawa will again see the “Bikes on Bond”. Motorcycles of a descriptions and sizes will again invade Bond Street in Oshawa along the south side between Mary and Simcoe Streets. Come out and ogle the chrome, meet the riders and mingle with the vendors.
In mid-August I will be going into Lake Ridge Health Oshawa for day surgery. So, I get to have some time off work and leave my “Honey Do” list for a while. 😉 Time for a bit of R&R to mend.
During the Labour Day weekend, we will be celebrating my mother’s 90th birthday (September 2) as well as my parents’ 70 anniversary (September 17). Wow! That is a long time to be together. The stories they have and can remember are amazing.
Hope you all continue to enjoy your great summer.
