EDITORIAL: As newspapers suffer, so too do publishers, distributors and authors

Amazon is killing us all. Authors should be paid for the work they produce but a giant like Amazon, like Walmart, can pound the competitors into submission by outlandish price reductions.

Where the publishing industry is going is not clear and precise but it is undergoing an unwanted revolution. Likely, digital publishing will become the new normal and the financial slices will shrink for all parties concerned except Amazon.
