A quick consideration: Biden may be leading in the polls, even by a lot, but polls have proven to mean little in the last few elections. Also, note Biden is out stumping the hustings much. Does he think he will likely just cruise to the finish line?
Well, here is an American commentator suggesting that with just a few minor tweaks, shifts in the economy, launch of a COVID-19 vaccine, Trump softening his public addresses….and poof…the poll gap will shift amazingly.
