Synopsis

I was negligent and did not write the review immediately after reading the book. Therefore, I had to revisit the book to refresh my memory about it, but re-read just the first couple of chapters.
Like almost every one of Baldacci’s books, the story is a good one. It is engaging and entertaining. Baldacci is an excellent writer but now in my books it is coming down to the wire as to who I like more, Baldacci or Grisham. Grisham is a courtroom specialist whereas Baldacci is a suspense-thriller one more in line with Lee Child. Baldacci and Child have favourite characters who play leading roles in additional books. Baldacci has Stone and Pine while Child seems happy with Jack Reacher. Baldacci’s does have some favouritism in his books, a favourite county in Florida, the fictional Ford County. He has even written a set of shorts stories that are all set in the county. [ Still unread as I do not like short story books. ]
