04 – Don’t shame people for not voting? Why not?

Voter turnout dismal in Toronto as well.

Sabreena Delhon, of the Samara Centre for Democracy, says we should not “blame or shame the electorate” for the low turnout (29 percent).

Yes, we should. Voting is a civic duty. And it’s easy.

It took just 15 minutes for my wife and me, both seniors, to walk around the corner, vote, and walk home.
