In case you were unable to attend, Pickering launched Christmas festivities with its Christmas Lights celebration at the Esplanade behind the city centre.
The biggest crowd ever, huge, easily more than 5,000 people. Likely closer to 10,000. Pickering’s best people came to the party. All cheery and enthusiastic in celebration. Not malicious incident anywhere. People of Pickering be proud…you are the best at crowd celebrations showing everyone how to have a party with thousands, and hundreds of kids and making it a safe and tremendously happy event for everyone.

The throng of Pickering’s most joyful and happy people celebrated in the Esplanade for a couple of hours. Displays, Christmas lighting, music, magic acts, food trucks, acrobats, the Christmas grinch and even Santa attended. Mother Nature even brought out her best November weather with balmy temperatures and no snow.
An absolutely fabulous festivity…sorry you couldn’t attend.
