After 5 years of researching, editing and writing I have just published my 5th book – On With The Show. This story provides insights into the great depression in Canada from 1929 – 1939 as backdrop to my maternal grandfather Bert Eason’s efforts to raise money for the unemployed and needy. He performed in over 250 shows/concerts in Montreal. Bert was a singer, pianist, comedian and master of ceremonies. Bert, along with his fellow artists gave their all, as the federal, provincial and municipal governments were tragically overwhelmed with an economic tsunami both in Canada and globally.
