Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential campaign may be indescribably painful, maybe as painful as his family’s tragic losses. However, it should be ranked as the greatest example of humility and personal sacrifice in American history.
This man, president of the United States, holder of the most powerful political office in the world, chose to sacrifice his position for the good of his country. Such patriotism and national loyalty is incomparable anywhere.
It was Biden’s decision — his alone, even though the number of people pushing him out was increasing hourly. He held his ground and no constitutional law could remove him from office. The 25th Amendment did not apply as he had not been impeached.
Biden’s decision to withdraw was personal and his alone. He chose to do so for the good of his country, sacrificing the greatest power he could ever have personally for the sake of his nation.
Joe Biden should stand shoulder to shoulder with the greatest Presidents of the United States.
