Let’s stop….
- the griping
- the complaining
- the conflicting
- the combatting
The world’s in need of change. There seems to be endless whining, complaining and bitching. Fewer and fewer people compromise, cooperate or team play. Worse, the complainers escalate their verbal animosity to levels of increasing violence.
How do we get back to the world of cooperation and compromise, the world of hearing and listening, a world where we unite at the table instead of fighting at it?
Too many people have abandoned the idea of team playing, of cooperation of joining in rather than demanding the head honcho’s seat. Too many people want to be Chiefs rather than Indians. Worse, when they aren’t heard or listened to, too many people resort to ever-increasing aggressive levels of intensity in their reactions and responses.
How do we persuade people to become listeners rather than aggressors? How do we calm people’s thinking and escalate the emotion, energetic vitriol that makes violence more acceptable than discussion?
Consider the effects of the attitude that seems to be prevalent throughout the world:
- HATE CRIMES increasing in frequency;
- GUN VIOLENCE growing in occurrences;
- AGGRESSIVE RESPONSE to disagreement to often first response;
- NATIONS response to disagreements with bombing and genocide;
- PEACE KEEPER voices drowned out by aggressive actors.
So where do we go from here? Do we do nothing? Do we accept the status quo? Do we tolerate these responses? Where do you stand on all this? Do you care?
