For years, I have used the graphic below for my email signature….
I rode motorcycles for nearly 30 years, with no serious mishaps. I stopped
riding in 2023 as I felt age had finally closed that chapter of my life.
Now as I watch the news, I see motorcycle accidents and fatalities on the
rise, significantly. I think riders are becoming careless, thereby putting
themselves at great risk. Cautioning young people about such risks is quite
futile. I rode with a ‘bobblehead,’ constantly looking out for the ‘killer’
in the vehicle near me. It was a way to ride which likely saved me many
times. I wish I could get younger riders to take note of my riding philosophy.
At the very least, I wish them safe riding as more and more drivers are be-
coming careless on the road these days.
In light of the above and a new hip replacement also, my new email graphic has changed to the one below. I may be slower, but I ain’t finished yet:
