OVEE is the innovative new program being launched by the PPL Sept. 28. It’s the library coming to you. For those of you, convalescing, unable to leave home for medical reasons, stay at home residents, the library is bring itself to you. A vehicle that will transport an assortment of library offerings all brought to you.
Ovee is fueled up and ready to hit the road bringing sought-out library services directly to residents across Pickering.
Ovee [pronounced “OH-VEE”] is the Pickering Public Library’s new outreach vehicle, featuring a custom-built interior designed for delivering Library services to residents across Pickering. Books, movies, and more will be available for browsing and borrowing, and residents will also be able to have Ovee deliver requested holds during scheduled stops throughout the week.
To celebrate the launch of this exciting new service, join library staff on September 28, 2024, at Rick Johnson Memorial Park from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at a family-friendly event featuring a variety of fun activities, information about local community resources, snacks, and even prize giveaways!
