I was at a coffee shop this morning for coffee with a war veteran. As we stepped up, 2nd in line, the young man in front of us stepped aside saying, “Go ahead. Order.”
We ordered but when we went to pay, the young man stepped back up and said, “I got it!”
We just got “Paid forward.”
Never before, but let me assure you, I will do it my next coffee shop visit.
Because of confidentiality and privacy rights, I can only say the young man’s name was DAVE and he lives in Oshawa and works for a landscaping company doing work in Pickering. This was a marvellous Sunday morning experience.
