PICKERING: High Speed Train station not happening in Pickering

Too bad Councillors Nagy and Cook it looks like Pickering still will not get a new train station if Canada and the federal government, not the municipality of Pickering, ever give the go ahead to build a new high-speed rail system between Ontario and Quebec.  Maybe Councillor Cook and Nagy can plan another vacation on Pickering residents tax dollars to explore what train stations look like in Japan as they have a really fine high-speed rail system.
One can see (SEE ARTICLE LINK BELOW) again, that the current plans just like in the plans back in 2021 showed that Pickering is not in the running for a train station.  The federal map shown below indicates that Toronto and Peterborough would be the two closest FEDERALLY planned train stations to Pickering if and when this project ever is finalized.
