You live in a digital world. Adapt or be left behind.
Ageing in the Digital Era
Our world is becoming increasingly digitalized. More and more services move online everyday. ‘Offliners’ risk being excluded and isolated in an era that embraces fast-changing innovation in digital technology. This is very concerning for older persons who are less digitally connected than the youth who were born into the digital age.
You cannot let this digital world leave you behind. Coping with it and learning about it is a challenging process. Find someone who can help you develop digital skills at a pace comfortable for you. Spend only what your budget allows, but get into the digital world. This world may modify itself to include non-digital persons, or it may not. Be brave. Jump in. Your mind and memory will grow.
Got questions? Phone your local library. Phone someone who uses technology. Explore where you can find help to get you into the “digital pool.”
