The majority has spoken. They made their choice and as incredible, unbelievable and wrong as it may be, it is the democratic result. T**** should never win an election, not even as dog catcher let alone the President of the USA. The man is a convicted felon, a seditionist, without morals, lacking relationship responsibility, without scruples, a racist, a bigot…the list goes on endlessly.
There seems no reasonable explanation for supporting such a candidate. No normal thinking voter would ever consider electing such a candidate. So why have more than 74 million voters voted for him. The simple answer is anger. The more detailed answer is deeper than that.
Here are explanations as to why so many Americans voted for T****. Americans are not crazy. They are fed up. They are desperate for change. They will vote for anyone who gives them a hope that things may change. T**** is that, hope.
UNRELENTING GROWTH OF ELECTORATE ANGER
Americans are angry and fed up with the current state of affairs in their nation. Their anger has developed and grown government after repetitive government failures to alleviate or ameliorate the situation in the USA.
Americans are angry over the state of the economy; constant increase in the cost of living; grocery costs increasing endlessly; employment opportunities continually decrease as increasing numbers of businesses erode or fail; unaffordability of home purchases and hopelessness of ownership ever happening.
Anger is the biggest cause of American voters abandoning the ‘old order,’ the ‘old guard.’ The electorate see repeated failures of government, over and over and over. It is understandable that the electorate believe enough is enough, throw the inept out, let’s try something new. The electorate is so fed up it has become desperate for a new solution, any solution, anything, anything that can affect a change. It doesn’t matter how outlandish or extreme the alternate may seem to be. The electorate wants change, desperately. T**** is change!
RAGE
The anger of the American electorate has been growing for so long and so much, it is understandable that it has developed into rage. The current national problems have been going on for so long without an iota of relief, it is understandable that the electorate are exasperated. It was inevitable that the electorate’s limits of acceptance and tolerance would be reached. They’re there now.
RAGE BECOMES CONVICTION
With anger and rage stewing for so long, it was inevitable that the electorate would begin to believe that it was the ‘old guard’ itself that were the problem. The old guard politicians have had decades of being elected and given opportunity to rectify or ameliorate the problems. In the US, both Democrats and Republicans. The problems continued. It was inevitable that the Democrats and Republican old guard would be rejected. The anger and the rage have grown to the level that the electorate are convinced the ‘old time’ politicians will never rectify things. That group cannot resolve the problems. Hence, they themselves must be the problem and need to be rejected. Get rid of them regardless of what the alternative may be or claims. Any alternative must be tried.
ENDLESS WARS
The USA has not been “war-free” in more than 100 years. Not one year in which it was not involved in some kind of war in some way. It has been at war, in support of warring nations, funding war efforts without a peace interregnum for more than a century. The incredible expense of this constant war involvement is beyond comprehension. The expenditure is in the trillions, yearly, money which could, should be used to alleviate problems at home. T**** promises relief by not engaging in any wars. He even admonishes nation’s for not being financial responsible with their financial obligations as members of such international military alliances such as NATO and the UNITED NATIONS.
INHERENT BIGOTRY OF SOME AMERICANS
As much as Americans profess support of liberty, freedom, equality, it is lip service. They are hypocrites. It took 200 years before they accepted a black man as President. How long will it take for them to accept a woman as President? Racism was overcome in that office; sexism continues.
Racism still exists in American elections with a woman who is a member of a colored, minority ethnic group. She won’t even be returned as the Democratic candidate for the next Presidential election in 2028.
Racism is pervasive and pollutes other aspects of American voters’ thinking. Many Americans view immigration as a major cause of employment shortcomings in America and these immigrant workers compound the problem in other ways. As many may be undocumented, they are willing to work for lower wages, the repercussions result in employers paying less to all workers. Then, the high number of immigrants results in a heated competition for all jobs. T****’s call for mass deportation is a clarion call that many voters understandably support.
ABORTION
The abortion issue is loaded with emotional repercussions. Religious groups of every denomination oppose abortion. Hence the rejection of abortion and acceptance of the Roe vs. Wade reversal is very understandable and to many Americans very acceptable.
GUN CRIME AND GROWING VIOLENCE
Americans will never give up their guns. Gun related crime and extremely violent crime grows in the US at an alarming rate, unrelentingly. Again, the American response, lip service. Americans proclaim their opposition to gun violence and violent crime but it is no more than lip service. AK 47s, automatic rifles, combat ready arms should not be available at Walmart or Costco. In the US, they are. With that kind of mentality about guns and violent, it is understandable that acceptability of extreme candidates is not an overreach.
NIHILISM
Finally, ‘nihilists,’ a faction existent in every society, are destroyers of anything established, regardless of what it is or its value to society. Lower level nihilists are are the people who destroy elevator walls, public property with graffiti. They make no attempt to justify or rationalize their destruction. They just do it. They simply destroy property and society’s institutions. They want to destroy any and every aspect of established society.
IN CONCLUSION
Americans are good people, reasoning, responsible and wanting good things for their nation. They are good world citizens. However, there choice of Donald T as their president is wrong, on every level and in every way. The US is an outstanding democracy. The majority did not make a mistake in choosing T****. They voted with reason. They had time to give their vote review and consideration. As much as many of us would criticize their choice, it is what it is. The majority has spoken and we’ll live with it.
