We’re working on these stories…
Something stinks in nomination process for the Pickering-Uxbridge riding. Numerous candidates have been disqualified by the riding association without explanation, seemingly without cause. This was the same occurence a year ago when a young candidate was rejected again without cause or explanation. It seems like the riding is being run by of a cohort of insiders who are its power brokers, not a very democratic process. To add insult to injury, all candidate must sign an NDA which gags them from ever talking about the nomination cahoots that are going on in the riding.

All four provincial parties were contacted with the question if they wished to comment further on the TV debate, additions to their policy and platform comments, but most of all a request for advice as to how one votes if there are only two candidates in one’s riding and neither is very appealing. Not voting is not an acceptable alternative….so how does one vote in that case? With a clothes pin on their nose ??
