A tough election for voter choices!

This is one helluva election in which to make a choice.

Doug Ford has an incredible amount of baggage that makes him a candidate deserving of serious reconsideration and review. He has done so many wrong this, so many tainted actions with his buddies and cronies profiting while taxpayers suffer. He has worsened a list of things in the province making life worse for so many people: the homeless, users of food banks, the afflicted and sick, students and education workers….the list seems to go on. Then he tries to buy votes using taxpayer money to bribe voters. And to add to this endless list of woes and miseries, he calls an election in the middle of one of the worst winters in years, an election which will cost nearly $200 million dollars.

Maybe the other leaders are lesser considerations for you vote, but Ford should get very serious review and second, third look consideration.

Consider voting Liberal so that voting is not negated by splitting it between two parties with the result Ford winning. It is easier in some ridings as only the Liberals seem to be strong enough or rich enough to run a full constituency slate of candidates. Sad to vote by elimination rather than by constructive selection. The voting is easier in some riding with only Cons and Libs candidates running. Again, it is sad that public life is so difficult, challenging and expensive (See story Jennifer O’Connell story at www.szpin.ca ) that so few people want to consider becoming candidates.

First, VOTE…don’t let Ford win by being negligent about voting.

Second, weigh the considerations with thought and care. Does Ford really deserve another mandate? At the very least, weakening his numbers might send a message that he takes serious and begins working on improving life for the people of Ontario, many of whom really need help.

Take care and I wish us all the best.
