The City of Pickering tries to maintain proper “Accountability and Transparency” with Council Expenses.
Please take note of the list that is called “Council Expenses” which residents can find in the newly designed and highly expensive, tax payer paid, “City of Pickering” website https://www.pickering.ca/.
There is no Council Expense report for 2025. The City department responsible for updating and posting these reports should be up-to-date in its responsibilities if residents are to be fully informed about their City affairs.
With available technology today, lapses in such reporting are inexcusable and unacceptable. Residents deserve to know how Councillors manage their taxpayer-funded money.
At one time, Council Expense Reports were posted within a month of monthly. The City has slipped in its efficiency here.
