55+ Committee is a group of volunteers who strive to provide high-quality leisure facilities, programs and events to Pickering residents, 55+ and older, that will contribute to their personal growth and life satisfaction.
The committee meets regularly to develop programs, events and community activities for the benefit of the older adults of the community. Among its goals, the committee promotes the active participation of residents in these endeavours as part of its philosophy of ‘aging well together.‘ The committee tries to develop endeavours that include intellectual, emotional as well as physical aspects to them as each of these has a significant role in living life better.
